Before Your Appointment
Let's make sure you are prepared for an incredible experience! It is our highest priority to ensure you have the best possible experience ever. We have compiled a list of things you can do that would ensure a smooth and enjoyable process:

COVID-19
OrthoMetrix will do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19. This means frequent sanitization procedures of all areas where people will visit, touch, and interact. There is a maximum of 2 people allowed in the assessment room during an appointment and all visitors to the clinic must wear a mask. If you do not have a mask we are happy to provide one for you. All visitors must use hand sanitizer. If you have an appointment booked, you are required to fill out a COVID-19 screening form that you will receive in your email shortly before your appointment. Although our office does not naturally have high walk-in traffic, we recommend against visiting our office without notice. Many questions you may have can be addressed on this website or by simply contacting our office at 604-503-6886 Monday to Saturday between 10am to 6pm.

Bring your doctors prescription (If applicable). We willl need to take a photocopy however we will return back your original copy. You will need to take the original copy with you in case you are submitting any item(s) to your insurance plan. We will never keep your original doctor's prescription (and if we accidently do, we will keep it safe guarded for you to pick up).

Understand your plan coverage (If applicable). Many insurance plans through work or school provide coverage for some services we offer. We recommend for you to contact your insurance provider directly and ask if any of our services of interest, such as custom foot orthotics, are covered. We are happy to call on your behalf to check the level of coverage you have and ensure our services comply exactly to what your insurance provider requires under your policy. Please note we do not contact your insurance provider on the day of your initial evaluation.

Wear loose, appropriate, comfortable clothing. Your Pedorthist will need to see your feet, ankles, knees, and hips while you walk and while you lie down as this is necessary for a proper foot and lower extremity biomechanical exam. Please arrive at your appointment wearing pants that can roll above the knees or athletic shorts.

Bring 1-2 pairs of shoes you normally would wear. No need to bring your suitcase! To simplify which ones to bring, please choose one you would wear daily and one you would wear for work.
